I know what it feels like to be running and going nowhere.

I was ten years old the first time I learned that survival was my responsibility. Domestic violence. Multiple schools. A father who left. A child who ran before he understood what he was running from.

Everything I built after that — the career, the restaurant, the body, the title — was real. Hard-earned. Mine.

And still. I felt like I hadn't started yet.

"Everything I built was real. But I had built it for the wrong version of myself."
